I have just bought a new Baotian 50qt and i have got it derestricted from the gargage that i bought it from.
I have taken it for a ride and it will only reach about 38 and then hit what i call "a dead spot" where the acceleration seems to stop and it wont go any faster.
I also live in a hilly area and need as many extra mphs as i can to get up the hills without embarassment.
Please could someone help me/give some advice.
Many Thanks

He's right, changing the rollers is the way to go.
You'll get better acceleration, it won't slow down as you go up hill.
You may not notice any extra on the top end though.

When should i do this as i've only done 24 (km i think it is) on my ped. I live in a really hilly area so how will it help the speed up hills but not top speed.
I've derestricted it already.

Lighter rollers let the engine rev higher. The engine produces it's max power at around 8500 rev/min. If your going up hill and reving around 8000 rpm, your going to fly up hill. The engine will have a max revs of around 10500 rev/min so your top end won't go any higher than it did before.

Don't change anything, your scooter has not run in enough yet.

Don't change anything, your scooter has not run in enough yet. when can you consider your scooter as being run in? I'm keen to get on with rollers and other mods but I've only done about 350kms. I've changed the oils and plug so far ps...rpms way up into the red, dangerously exciting.....I havent seen mine rev above 6000 under load? is that a sign of not being run in yet? I'm only about 11 stone

Thanks for the pic.
The revs I mentioned above was information I got from a American forum site.
They are not that different, 500 or so revs either way doesn't really make much difference.
