Hey guys, something's wrong with my scooter. It is sluggish and only goes 20mph. I adjusted the valves and that did nothing.
I'm just frustrated now.

I'm sure that you would have checked anyway, but.
Spark plug clean Spark plug gap Fuel flowing normally (check vacuum powered fuel pump) carburettor opening fully with throttle Air filter clean Carb clean Variator belt OK.
That's a few bits to be going on with - Good Luck

Hey guys, Thanks alot. I did a full tuneup and it turns out the carb was dirty on the inside. It looked like something you would expect on hypojams ride! hahahaha! Yeah it was dirty, but now it's back to normal 40mph. Sorry hypojam.
I was afraid that my cdi might have gotten fried by the lack of voltage regulation. I'm glad it wasn't, but do you think that assassin's cdi is any better?

I bought one of the Race Spec CDI's from them, for my Baotian 125 and I think it's actually quite good.
There appears to be a better delivery of power through the rev range, so I seem to get a smoother accelleration. Idling needed a slight adjustment when I fitted the CDI.
I don't think that the bike has a higher top speed, as that is a gearing matter.
I'm trying to see if the fuel consumption is the same as before, as that is important to me (Not how many miles to the gallon, but how often I have to stop to refuel)
Overall, I am really pleased, I have run this for a week now (I'm keeping the old one in my pocked in case this one fails!!) and I was going to post the details about this soon anyway (once I really know it is reliable) but it really seems OK.
Cost me £20, took about 2 mins to fit, I think it's really good value.

I should install my rollers first since I finally got the tool... O yes I thought I'd let you know that one of my rear blinkers (winkers) was out and it turned out to be the connector right by the gast tank. The light blue wire had pulled out a little. I just pushed it in and it was all right again.

O yes, and did you see scooterassassins drive pulley sleeve? It's 36mm long for optimum performance or whatever. I'm going to measure mine when I install the rollers and cut it down to 36mm and see if that does anything.
