Just has a look at de-retricting by Bt50 and does not look like it can be done without changing the carb pin for a new one.
My BT50 is a new stlye with the clear indicators, so I guess they have updated it to make it harder to change.
The pin has a large flat head on it rather than the little washers shown on the guide, it would take too much force to move it, and would end up damaging the pin.
There are loads of cable under it too. I found one that looks a bit pink wrapped up in the thickest loom, but I'd say it looks more dull orange than pink.
Any Ideas, on this. Is is possible to buy just the pin and swap out the new one, and how do I know I'm cutting the right wire?
Cheers for any help. Scott

Sounds like you have a carb pin like mine, that "style" doesn't need any washer adjustment on it.
My scoot doesn't have a pink wire electrical restriction either, so i assume from what you said yours doesn't either.
Sounds like the only restriction left is the brass screw underneath the black carb lid and maybe a washer in the variator.

as Hypo, says it's probably just the screw under carb top. The needle in your carb can still be raised, (this is what we need to do to allow more fuel through), all you have to do is place a couple of small washers on the needle UNDER the fixed washer. This has the same effect as moving the main washer down the needle.
The pink wire you are lookion for is a very girlie pink colour. It's unmistakable. You can check to see if your scoot has the pink wire a couple of ways. First, if your scoot has the pink wire, the left hand side engine cover (where the kick start is), will have a wire coming out of the casing on the left hand side as you look at it. Thats the pink wire. Second, in the battery comartment, the CDI unit has a connection block with 6 connections, if you only have 5 wires going to this connection block, you don't have the pink wire. (the middle connection of the lower row, is the limiter conection)
