Hi everyone!
I bought myself a new Baotian BT50QT-9 two days ago. Had to assemble some parts myself. It was a serious problem because I am not very good with mechanics. Now when everything is assembled - the scooter doesn't start!
I have no idea what can be the problem. It won't start from electric starter. It completly ignores kick starter (there is no sound of starting at all). The only thing that works - lights. The battery might be not completly charged but that shouldn't be a problem if I am using kick starter.
Also I have noticed two small ruber tubes in the bottom of my scooter. One side of the small tube is connected to something like engine or carburator, but it's other side is just pointed to the ground and is not connected anywhere. The other tube is larger and goes somewhere to the front of the moped and also its one end is not connected anywhere. Might this be a problem? They are located about 5-10cm left from the kick starter.
Hope that anyone can help me. Thanks.

I tried to start it with side stand, without side stand, wihout any stands at all. I also tried to give it a push - nothing.

And what about the other pipe, that goes from the front of the bike and also is not connected to anything?

In the top picture, the far left tube(maybe cable?) isn't supposed to be there! I'm not sure what thats for, but make sure u definitely have the side stand connected and in the up position.

No, side stand is connected. I'll make a photo of where this strange cable goes to.

Here are some pictures of "where the strange pipe goes". The pictures were made from such position: the scooter was on its right side, the mobile phone was inserted in the hole between the bottom of the scooter, its side and its side stand.

I was able to start it by kick starter. Though if I do not accelerate, it keeps dying away. I have never had a moped - is it always like this? Or there is a problem?
It still won't start by electric starter. What should I do? Maybe I should charge the battery?

Hmm... Actually after a small ride it doesn't look like it is still dying away. Works fine, but won't start from electric starter. And handling bar is loose - any sugestions?

you dident put a tiny amount of petrol into the carb init

to start with i had to open the throttle to get it going leave it started for a while then ease off slowly on the throttle, do this a few times if it still dies then you need to read some of the posts about the idle screw this is easy to sort out
with the carb the first time you start your engine it is difficult if you had put a small amount of petrol in the carb it would have made it much easier
Handlebars
get yourself a spanner set turn the handle bar i think it is to the most left and you should be able to make it nice and tight using 2 spanners so it no loose
starter
your grabbing the left brake then pressing the starter right ? if so and its not working can you get a pic of how you have wired your battery up

I was able to start it at last. Thanks everyone for help.
2 macrofeet & r08813: Thanks for the idea. I have tried to start it with rear brakes - nothing. Apperently, front brakes are connected with the ellectrical starter. When I grabed front brakes, I was able to achive some sound from the starter. Then I just added a little bit of throttle and the scooter started.
I noticed that my rear brakes are not connected with rear bulb. Maybe they are not connected with battery at all.

I think you better check the wiring, both brakes have their own switch, but both switches are in parallel, so you can use either or both and the brake light should work.
It's really important that the brake light works when either brake is applied, it may stop a car running into the back of you.
