ok thanks for the advise will try this the weekend.
btw as i am still getting loss of power and only really does it when i pull away, would you say its because of the washer being hi up so the carb isn't getting enough fuel?

try pushing the gap in the washer face down carfully against a flat surface this is how I did it first time, it works but you need to be careful not to bend the needle. The washer will come off! I now use pliers to get the washer off, I place the gap in the washer on one jaw of the plier, then push down on the end of the needle with the other jaw. I recomend doing this indoors, over a clean table, and in good light. The washer may fly off never to be seen again, but if your inside and its light, you may be able to find it!

possibly, mine used to do the same thing, but then just stopped after a while (a week or so), I think it just needed wearing in a little (carb slider, that is)
