Took flywheel off a Boatian BT50 today and noticed as I removed the bolt holding it on that some of the threads were hanging off. Sadly, these were the threads on the crankshaft. The end result is that the nut will not go back on, it goes on a little then just spins and wont tighten. Is this the end of this bike? I'm assuming here that changing the crankshaft is neither an easy or desirable job? Should have known really, I've had to replace nearly all the bolts I've taken off on this bike as the heads break off when tightening them, everything cheap and nasty. 3000kms on the clock, 6 months old and its like a scrapper already. Learn the hard way buying these cheap bikes...

You can re-thread the end of the crankshaft and use a slightly larger nut

Didnt know they had a suggested tightening torque, does it say what this is in the manual?

Yeah, most of the nuts and bolts have a torque setting listed in each section of the manual
