hi all, Ive bought some halfords own brand 4 stroke synthetic oil which is 5w-40w. I'm just wondering if this is OK, as everyone ells is saying 10w-40w , Will it make any difference? thanks all

5w-40 is great I used 5w-40 diesel engine oil in my bike for about 6 months

Theres higher detergent levels in diesel engine oil. Not really the best stuff for petrol engines

i am useing castol tt 4 stoke oil @ the mo! took about 100kms for it 2 wear in! so my top speed was reduced from 40mph to about 33mph not gd!
