Just wondered if anyone had actually done it?
I did a bit of investigative work and discovered there's no pink wire - so that one's out (unless it's a different colour - dont fancy risking it!)
I'm only going to use the scooter on a 2 mile journey to work and back - so don't really need speed in excess of 30mph. + its brand new and needs running in.
Could do with a bit more acceleration though!
I'm opening up the carb now to see what's in there - hopefully a brass screw to remove.

when i removed the cover on the carb and located the needle, i found the washer was already on the centre groove.
The only other thing i know of that restricts these things is the restriction ring in the drive mechanism - and i've already removed that.
Now got a top speed of 34mph on the flat- hopefully it will increase as the engine runs in.
