Most of the middle of the exhaust has got thrown away but there isn't much there anyways The big pipe inside is the one that comes straight from the engine. The small pipe inside is the one where all the exhaust gas is having to be pushed through to get out of the exhaust At the other end of the exhaust there was a plate inside which sealed of everything(it got thrown in the bin) the only exit for the gas to escape to was through the tiny pipe This whole exhaust system looks very restrictive to me I ask myself, why have they made the exhaust gas be pushed through such a small pipe Hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to say lol

But I thought it had to be small because of the fact that the muffler has to be able to fit as well. If the pipe was made smaller then less space would be left for the muffler, therefore has not only the noise increased due to the larger exhaust pipe but less sound is absorbed by the muffler making you ped sound even more like a tank.
