Hey there, im coming up to my first 300miles on my scooter and realised it was time fir an oil change. I remember my cbt instructor saying its better to buy the expensive oil for 2 stroke engines from bike shops than it is to buy the cheaper 2 stroke engine oils from a supermarket/petrol station.
Is there really any difference?? Or would it be better to buy the £1 a small bottle from morrisons ;D

these chinese scoots are nearly all 4 stroke engines so u need to get 4 stroke oil! the stuff you put in ya car will do! I put 10w-40 Castrol GTX Magnatec in my little chinese 4 stroke DO NOT!!!!!! Put 2 stroke oil in your bike unless it is a 2 stroke engine!

Ok well where the red arrow is pointing is where the oil has to go, about 800ml of oil needs to be put in there when you have drained the old stuff out!

It only gives you the graph at which engine oils work best in certain tempretures. Does this suggest to use normal car engine oil then??? And also what type of gear oil do i use?

I Used castrol 4 stroke Bike oil I found for sale at Asda - about £5. Only because I saw it next to the other oil.
For the next service I'll just get a 5l can of car oil, with the same spec.
