???I'm a newbie. Just got the Baotion bt 50 qt-9. Every time I ride over the slightest bump in the road it cuts out, And then I find it difficult to start. I have tightened the battery leads but no joy. Can anyone help. It's doing my head in. Ive examined the side stand and the lead and they seem ok. When it is running on the main stand it's ok, but as soon as I push it off the stand it cuts out. If I rock the bike on the main stand it also cuts out. Can anyone help.

Check the plug cap is on properly and the leads to the ignition coil are on tightly. If you think the sidestand switch is at fault try bypassing it with a length of wire.

I noticed with my BT50QT-9 that the fuel filter has to be pointing down! if it isn't the bike runs horrible or worse still cuts out. It' worth a try. The fuel filter is a small plastic bottle just above the air filter.

Thanks for the suggestions. However non of them seemed to do the trick. I have found that if I give the top of the Carb a few taps with my hand the engine cuts out. Any suggestions.

Have you had the carb top off (de-restriction etc), If you have and have not put things back correctly it could be loosing vaccuum, or the slide needle may be stuck.

I noticed with my BT50QT-9 that the fuel filter has to be pointing down! if it isn't the bike runs horrible or worse still cuts out. It' worth a try. The fuel filter is a small plastic bottle just above the air filter. It looks like a plastic funnel with a lid on, and it's white opaque so you can see fuel in it.

Even with idle speed high, it still cuts out when rocked on the stand.

Check all the cables going around the bike, especially the side stand

It is possible that you have a vacuum feed fuel pump (the 125 t9 does) see if there is a breather pipe running from the carb (or inlet manifold) to the fuel pump (careful not to confuse with the petrol pipe) See if there is a cut or hole in the pipe and if so, replace the pipe and make sure it is held away from where it got damaged.
