Does anybody know whether you can fit immoblisers onto the BAOTIAN 50cc bikes? If so, would you happen to have numbers for people who do it in the South East?
Cheers

There's a company on ebay selling scooter alarms for about £30 if that's any help? I wouldn't have thought they have an immobiliser but you never know...

No worries. If you buy one let me know if it's any good as I'm thinking of getting one but I'd rather someone else be the guinea pig. ;D

Those alarms you mention Phil, are quite good, they do have an imobiliser built in. In fact they have a few features not mentiond on ebay like, Remote start form the key fob! reomte engine cut out from the key fob! The alarm gives a warning before sounding! motion sensor and automatic engine imobiliser, all this for £30. I haven't had time to fit mine yet but when I do I will take photos and post them on here.

Sounds like a right bargain. As it's a bank holiday weekend how about fitting your alarm so I know whether to buy one or not?

May just do that. I work regular nights, Sunday to Thursday, so my weekend is a little odd, but I will give it a go.

Hi, Phil no, been a bit busy today. I will get round to it sometime! Mean while my bike will probably get nicked! Before you fit it, check the battery consumption. Whilst doing my battery research, it seems that alarm/immobilisers are the main cause of flat batteries, (apart from daft idiots like me that boil them dry) and the batteries need to be kept in top condition with a battery optimiser sort of thing. I think my main security feature is going to be a strong chain and padlock. No battery power needed, and makes lifting the scooter into the back of a transit much harder

I do still use a hefty chain and padlock. Just thought it couldn't hurt to have that little extra measure to slow the theiving bas***** down a bit and maybe draw a bit of attention!
