Has anybody experienced the problem I'm getting at the moment. When i twist the throttle on full i get a flat spot for about a second and then the bike picks up to full revs. Its a pain in the butt if you want to get away quickly from traffic lights and you can't get full power right away.

It must be a coicidence but my bike started doing this on the way home today. I looked at the air-box pipe and there is a kink in it, I'm surprised any air is getting to the filter at all so I'll take Paul W's advice in the Hints, Tips & DIY section and put some kind of tube inside it to stop it bending. Hopefully that'll cure it.

Idle fuel mixture is most likely wrong i thinks maybe when you let go of the throttle and the carburetor goes into idle mode where the fuel mixture either goes too rich or too weak, that might cause a delay in throttle response when you open the throttle back up??? Theres a screw on the side of the carburetor which adjusts idle fuel mixture, the default is 2 and a bit turns out according to the manual During the very cold winter i kept it about 1/2 turn out and that kept it from cutting out at the traffic lights Educated guess using all my training during my Motor Vehicle Maintenance and repair NVQ i done at college and my previous taishan carburetor experience HeHe Hope this Helps
