You could download the manuals from the link section. They give pretty good details on strip down and rebuild.

You will need to look at the relevant section for the part you are working on, Brakes, Battery, wheels, handle bars etc.

The guides are a sticky topic in the Hints, Tips & DIY section. What particular bits are you having trouble with? A few people have trouble with the front wheel while others have trouble with the battery....

it was mostly the wiring of the brakes, indicators that sort of thing, Have left it in my dads hands at the mo though so hopefully he should be able to fix it. will write again if I need any more help. Thank you!

It sounds like either the brake is binding (catching) or the wheel bearings need oiling. Was there any washers to put on the front axle between the wheel and fork? I think there should be some.
It is supposed to run freely so something must be wrong.

is it just me...or is this one of the scariest posts I've read here !
How many people out there with little or no motorcycle mechanical knowledge are trying to put these things together ?
Suppose that missing washer you didn't notice at the bottom of the crate suddely becomes very important when doing 30mph along a busy road...

Totally agree with Drzoom. It's all well and good trying to save a few pennies by not going for the pre-assembled option, but if your not particularly technically minded you are saving these pennies at the potential cost of your life.

I've been reading loads of these kind of stories on the Preloved forum, I just cannot believe that if they don't know how to assemble their bike these people don't take it down to a local bike garage and give them a tenner to do it. With my Taishan the only bits that had to go on were the mirrors & battery but after doing a few hundred km's I took it to a bike garage and asked if he would go over the bike and check every nut & bolt and service it at the same time. The guy didn't look very interested so the job was never done but the principle was there.

We have sorted putting the bike together and it runs fine. Just to add the reason I bought the bike was because I really like the style and could not find them anywhere else. The bike is also being checked over and service by the garage. I would not ride around on it if this had not been done I am not suicidal.
