I checked and pumped up my tyres after my first week of use and they appeared to be quite low in pressure (about 18psi).
I checked a week later and they were again low.(about 20 psi).
They are supposed to be 28psi front, 32 psi rear (little plate on the bike says so)
It only takes a few seconds to pump them with a foot pump so it's not a great inconvenience.
I've only done 600km since new so not a lot of use on the tyres, infact, they are hardly worn.
But I am surprised to need to do this so regularly, is this normal for bikes? If it is, then fine, if not, then I'll make a journey to Quick Fit or somewhere.

I never pumped up my tyres and I haven't touched the Peugeot's tyres either. Maybe you've got a leaky valve or something...

That's what I was wondering, but it's on both tyres (nearly said all 4 - whoops) I'll have to go to Kwik Fit!!

When you fall off when your tyres are to flat, thats when you know its time to pump them up.

Good Point!!
But you are nearer the ground when they go flat, so it can't be as bad.
Seriously though, I was wondering if it was different to car tyres, as, on the scoot you spend a lot of time on the side of the tyres (cornering etc.) so I didn't know if that affected them at all.

They shouldnt lose much pressure stick a couple of new valves in. On a less serious note at least when they go down they are only flat at the bottom

I used a tyre valve tool and tightened the valves. I was able to turn both to be tighter, so I'm going to see if that helps. But I do think that changing the valves sounds a good idea anyway, so I think that I will change them next week. I think Halfords sell them for about a quid for 4. I could fit 2 and put the other 2 on ebay as Baotian spares!! - what do you recon £0.01p per valve and £50 postage? !!

Are you sure 50 notes will cover it

Well, bearing in mind the cost of the envelope, sticking the stamp on and walking, with my dog, to the postbox that we pass every night anyway, possibly, if the envelope is second hand and there is no combined postage!!

Seriously though, changed the valves for the short ones from Halfords - £2.99 for 4 and there was no loss of pressure on the way in today.
I'll keep checking them over the next few days and see if it has made a difference.
Perhaps tightening up the old ones would have been OK anyway, but new ones make me feel that little bit more confidence.
Thanks guys for your comments.
