CBT!!

Just did the 1st part of my CBT! (I'm doing it over 2 evenings). Was great fun and I learned a lot! Best thing I learnt was that you only need a "visible tread pattern" for your scooter to pass its MOT! Also got a lift home on the back of the instructors bike! BMW 1200cc so that was exciting!

I've held a full car licence for ages & so can ride a moped with no CBT. But am I right in assuming that if I want to ride a 125cc, I do have to take a CBT.
Do you just have to attend, or are you tested and either passed or failed?

Your quite right, you do need a CBT to ride anything upto 125cc, you also need to wear 'L' plates, and cannot carry a pillion.
You do need to attend to be tested. The CBT is a practical lesson and assessment in one, it takes a few hours and includes basic motorcycle theory as well as a ride out on the roads to assess your road awareness and bike skills. Having said that I don't know anyone who has failed!
Hope that helps
