Apparently 2 strokes are meant to accelerate quicker but be a bit noisier and less economical as well.

I always thought that they were more economical than the 4-strokes. Anyone care to clear this up?

I've never heard that before, I've always been told a 4 stroke is cleaner & more economical which is why countries like China insist all new 50cc's must be 4 strokes.

I've found out today that 2 strokes are a lot noisier than 4 strokes. You could hardly hear my Taishan when I started it but the Pug makes one hell of a racket but I do love the little pop-pop sound when I slow down.

when i had my modded exhaust on my taishan it sounded like some sort of rally car , used to crackle and pop when you let the power off, roar when you opened to full throttle ;D But now i have a new quieter one on
