The oil you want is 4 stroke 10w/40. Don't think that's your problem but someone should be along soon to help.

Is it because its got no oil init? and what kind of oil do you recommend its a 50cc 4stroke batation (sp?) Not the oil, unless the engine is seizing up every-time With this type of problem, (and most other problems), it is best to give as much information as possible, scooter make, model, cc, (which you have done, but it is good advice to others), any modifications carried out, anything altered just before the problem started occurring etc. It could just be something simple, like a slight carburettor adjustment, to help keep the tick over higher. Does it still cut out if you keep the revs up slightly? If it doesn't, then it might be the carburettor adjustment. If it's not, have a look through the downloadable manuals, I think there is a good fault diagnosis chart in there somewhere.

Agreed Gavin. I would turn up the idle speed slightly and see how you go.
