Morning boys and girls. Glad i finally came across some info on these blasted scooters. Mines a Sinski. Looks much the same as all the rest. Just a little older i guess ( it's an 03 model). i brought it second hand in need of a little TLC and still need a couple of bits. Any idea where i can get spares from? Also, whats this about not needing a CBT???

Also, whats this about not needing a CBT??? Hello rkr, welcome aboard!! Have a look in the Links section as I posted a link to a company called Speed 'n' Spares. When I bookmarked their site about a month ago they said they can get hold of Taishan spares (which is pretty much what you're after) but I had a look on their site yesterday and I couldn't find any mention of it but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Whatever the case, email them and I'm sure they'll sort you out. If you have a look on eBay right now there's a guy breaking various Chinese scooters, type "Taishan" into the Search box and you'll soon find it. EDIT: Here ya go: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9946&item=7983535330&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVWAs for the CBT, if you passed your driving test before Feb. 2001 you don't need to take a CBT to ride a 50cc or under plus you don't need L plates.

Yay on not needing a CBT, although it sort of takes some of the danger out testriding the beast. Thought i was living life on the edge there :-)
I will give that number from ebay a call i think. Might be able to help. Cheers for that.

So you thought you were being a bad boy for riding your scooter without a CBT and all along you didn't need one? ;D I guess doing everything by the book is a bit boring, I remember when my scooter was first delivered it wasn't registered and so I didn't have any tax or insurance. I took it for a quick spin up the road & back and I've never felt so scared of being caught, I'm a bit of a wimp you see.
