I have seen a lot of new scooters around here in the last month. Seen some Taishans (1 commuter & 2 sports) & a couple of Baotians. Trying to be the club recruiter for this area, but naturally they are alway going the opposite way or on a cross street & I can never catch them. Read in the newspaper that scooter sales in the U.S are up 17.5% . So I will probably see some more soon!.

Saw another one this morning. I passing by a window(at work) & saw a retro scooter with a tall windshield & a portly rider go by.

There are a LOT of motorcycles here too. Lot of Harleys here too, + cycles of all flavors. I parked next to a Honda Valkyrie a few weeks ago. My god that thing is huge! The engine look about the same size as the engine on my old Geo Metro if not bigger! As an interesting note. Since getting my scooter, I now seem to be in the Bikers "Club". Now all the motorcyclists who ignored me as I sat in my car next to them, all wave & talk to me at traffic lights. It was kind of odd at first, but now I am used to it. One of the first to talk to me was a GIANT biker clad in black leather from head to toe. This guy was huge-he appeared to be Somoan. I was in the Post office parking lot, it was busy & I saw a parking spot with a Harley in it. Rather than take up another space in a busy lot, I pulled in next to the Harley. I was Just taking off my helmet, when the giant walks up behind me & starts to ask me questions about my scooter! We talked for about 10 minutes! He was actually a very nice guy, despite his sinister appearance.
