Just an idea at the moment and it's up to you guys but would you prefer to use a phpbb forum instead of this Proboards one? I've got nothing against Proboards as there's never any downtime but I prefer the phpbb forums as they're easy to use, the topic reply emails will take you straight to the first unread reply plus it's easier for me to add smilies, change the look and all that kinda stuff. You may have noticed that the radio stations drop-down menu hardly ever shows up which annoys me, with the phpbb forum I'm thinking of we'd get what's called a Portal which is like a webpage where I can add lots of stuff. Take a look at one of my other forums as this is the provider I'd use: www.maxi-muppets.co.ukThe one downside is none of the posts on here can be transferred so we'd all start from scratch. All the how-to guides can easily be copied & pasted so we'll not lose any valuable info. I don't think it will take us long to get lots of posts up on a new forum. Let me know what you think below and don't forget to visit maxi-muppets before commenting.....

I go in a few phpbb forums and have no probs with them. One site I visit had probs setting up a chat room but its not the end of the world. I cant use this chat room anyway.
See what everyone else thinks. If it improves the site features then go for it.

I've got a chat room on that maxi-muppets site but it's pretty much the same as this one so if you can't see that one then I guess you won't be able to see that one either. I think this style of forum might put a few people off as most forums these days are phpbb based and people know what they're doing straight away. With Proboards it's an effort getting topic reply emails set up. I just think in the long run a phpbb forum will be best. Yes it'll be a pain to start with as a lot of copying & pasting will be needed but within 2 months it'll be packed again.

Have no idea what you're talking about. Have a browse around www.maxi-muppets.co.uk as it would look quite similar. I forgot to mention that we'd also get an arcade as well, there's one on the Maxi-Muppets site if you want to see what it'll look like but only registered people can play.

Its your decision at the end of the day GP as long as theres a forum who cares how its set up as long as anyone can get in with the minimum of effort and similar to whats here.
You could of course start another and do a transition or move over at a later date when its set up..... had you thought of that?

Well I can easily set it up but I think it would be confusing to have 2 different forums running, although I guess all new topics could go onto the new board and keep this one open for people who want to reply to old topics then close it a month later???

Well if thats the case I dont see the point of moving! All seema too much hasle, whats easier than these boards? Wading through adds, confusing format, thats why I dont bother with Thompsons and pug sites. Nah, stay as we are I'd vote!

This Proboards forum is starting to do my head in, things like the music menu just vanish without trace. For a newbie just trying to watch a topic or get topic reply emails is a chore.
