Alrite chaps, hoping someone can help me. Is changing the brake pads a difficult job? And if it isnt where can I get some? Because any scooter dealers round my way refuse to touch these chinese models

No its not difficult, there are 3 bolts, 2 hold the caliper unit (the big gold bit) to the forks, one bolt has 2 rubber concertina covers on it, remove this one and the unit will swing out, you can then pull out the pads, taking care to note how the retainer springs hold the pads. If you have ABS fitted, its that small cannister that the flexible pipe bolts onto, you may have to remove the other 2 bolts an take the calliper unit off, as the ABS stops it swinging out. If you can see YN H012 on the back of the pads then EBC 101 is the equivalent replacement. Replace the calliper and bolt on again, but do not over tighten.

Almost certainly, thet are all based round the same components, very little deviasion. Just be brave and tackle it, remember what you take off, in what order and put it back in reverse, testing BEFORE you go out on the road. We all had to start somewhere once, in a few weeks you could be answereing questions like this too.

I would expect that you remove the back wheel, and you will see the shoes. One end sits on a pin, the other sits on the cam, held in by 2 springs, just pull the shoes outwards and they 'ping' off. Reverse to put the back but it may be a bit more fiddly.
