Revceived a brand new BT50QT-9 last Wednesday, polished it applied 'L' plates and tax disc ready for first ride on Thursday. Thursday arrives, fill up with petrol, goes to a mates house and when I came to leave it had been stolen!!! (5 miles on clock) Theiving gits, TPFT insurance and not a cat in hells chance of getting it back. Insurance company will pay out after 21 days as total loss (less £100 excess) and inform me that policy will be cancelled. new insurance policy more money (too much!) sorry for rant but I'm so sad

The thieving b$3&6(=ds want their hands cutting off from the neck! I've also said that insurance is nothing but legalised theft too!

Very sorry to hear that, just try not to take it too personally.
Keep your eyes out for it locally, I bet it hasn't gone far. Failing that, save your money & get a cheap 2nd hand one & good alarm. I hate these people. Wishing you luck.

Sorry to hear you lost your scooter. As you say, insurance is a joke.
Always take your CDI unit with you when you park your scoot out of sight. On mine its under the floormat next to the battery. It just unplugs, and is only the size of a matchbox. My mat is not fastened, an I can get the cdi out in about 20 secs.

Many thanks for your kind words and top tips, decided that a possible replacement without claiming is the only viable option.
Hope to be mobile soon!

I felt violated and angry as hell when my precious car got stolen. Didnt help that my fiance dumped me the same day but hey!
Like Scootin' said hang in there and don't lose faith.
If you do find who stole it you can borrow my nail scissors to castrate them.

been paying out insurance for car's and bikes for the last 25 years without a claim and it still costs a fortune to insure a little 50cc scoot.
Third party only too, not as if the scoot would cause much damage if i did hit anything.
Bad luck M8, I had a bike stolen a few years ago and as the excess was so high i never bothered claiming.

OMG that sounds terribly painfull I just had a procedure which i just got over from the front end for prostrate problems and that wasn't funny. I got another one shortly for the rear end crikey hedgehogs.... reminds me of those vd films they show you in the services hehehe could tell a tale about that involving a mate might save it for another day hehehehe
