Hi,
I'm a newbie - my name is Davros and I have ordered my new Baotian BT50QT-9 from "warehouse-robot" ......(eBay) After reading a few of the posts on some of the states that their scooters arrived in, I'm pretty nervous, but my sale supposedly included assembly and a full PDI, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.... I could have saved £100 and got one in a crate buy having no previous bike/scoot knowledge at all, this seemed like lunacy!
If a crate comes anywhere near my house I'll be turning it away .... I'm expecting a nice little courier fella to wheel a sparkling new scoot up the path, that is fully assembled and hopefully even with a touch of petrol in so I can start it and check the basics before I let that nice little courier fella drive off !
This site has been great for prep (the scoot doesn't arrive until this Friday), I already have the NGK spark-plug ready to replace the Chinese plug, I have a bottle of the correct oil from Halfords, and have printed off all the great technical help on everything from derestriction to checking the brass bolt in the top of the carb cap, and checking to make sure that dreaded shaft is not covering hte final drive on my model !
Invaluable help and knowledge for BT buyers !
Thanks,
Davros.

Thanks folks - will def post some pics SB (will call you SB instead of sexybum, Juuuust in case yer a fella!)..... there don't seem to be many black BT50-9s on here...
No doubt once I've got past all the niggles, faults and headaches, I'll get the camera straight out and get some pics up of my first scoot ride!
I've only once ever ridden a Scoot, in 1992, an 80cc twist n go (can't remember the model but it looked like a Honda Vision), in Crete, and that was for about 5 minutes up a dirt track.... (I was only having a try, I hadn't hired it).... I remember the acceleration felt great but I dare say the BT50 may be a lot more tame !
Thanks for the welcomes guys n gals... #cheers#

I wouldn't have thought being leader of the Daleks, planning World domination etc gave you much opportuntity for scootering, glad to hear you finally got out of that bunker on Skaro though....

Dr Zoom,
The Scooter is a major part of the efforts of myself and my Dalek peers to dominate the known Universe (or at least Charlton)... unlike my Dalek colleagues, you'll notice that I don't have a tin upper-half, I'm more of a dude, although there's something strange going on with my eyes, but I'll cross that bridge once I've got the Baotioan started..... Anyway, I reckon that with some help, it's be possible to balance my Dalek lower half onto the BT50's bench like seat and with the help of a couple of rakes or similar sticks I should be able to make a device that can reach the throttle.....
I can then Scoot everywhere and scare the human race to death with this sight ..... until you all decide to burrow into the underground of the Earth, leaving the surface for me and my superior Dalek mates to enjoy the World Cup in peace.... leave some babes on the surface for us though won't you.
I just prey the BT50 will do over 30mph, because otherwise I'll get some serious stick and jesting from the Cybermen .... they're wicked those lads are !
But if that courier dares to turn up with a 'bad baotioan' on Friday .... faulty fuel gauge or inoperative indicators........grrrrrrrrrr. #6# EXTERMINATE ...EXTERMINATE !!!
