Hey, i've just bought myself a Baotian Bt50 QT-9. its a few months old and in excellent shape and is really nice. I havnt got my CBT yet, but hopefully soon.
One think i need to ask, is what are these things like at going up hills. Im about 11 stone. And i live in the heart of yorkshire and its hills everywhere, and would like to know that even up steep hills i can get 20-25mph. What peoplke noticed about this?
are they really bad at hill climbing?
Thanks alot Luke

Hello & welcome, These little scooters are not great hill climbers. I typically lose 5-10mph going up a hill.

Welcome along!! Yeah these Chinese scooters are crap at going up hills, I live in very flat Norfolk and even I had trouble getting over 25mph up some slopes.

Thanks alot Luke Hi, i live near some great hills to go to work but if you derestrict it and take good care of it using good quality products then it will pay off and i do around 30-35mph up hill and 40mph downhill. It does go faster downhill but i dont want to speed to fast yet! its only 5months old

Have a look at a few subjects on here about Rollers. Apparently they'll make your scooter go up hills with ease, there's also a step-by-step guide to fitting them in the Hints, Tips & DIY section.

You sure its only 120ks? Perhaps it needs the carb desristricted. I had one but sold it to a guy from Yorks. The one i had was electrically deristricted but i dont know if the carb mod was done (it was done before i got it). It still did about 40mph due to no rev liniter but if the fuel aint gettin there perhaps thats why it slows so much on hills. Mal
