Hi I have at last got round to saying hello. Been reading this great site for nearly a month, brilliant. My name is Val and I guess I am real old compared to everyone else here. Have wanted a scooter since I was 16 but my Dad said no, so he bought me a car for my 17th birthday instead a 1936 Morris 8 (didn't pass my test until 5yrs later). Any how I have just bought a Baotion 125T-9 which can't ride yet as its not registered waiting for the first of the month. And I have to take my CBT Got it from Pitbike4all. We have taken a load of pics of the assembly of it if anyone thinks they might be worth looking at.

Hello Val I am nearly as old as the Morris 8, so don't worry. The pictures of the Baotian assembly might be useful for Rusty's site, to help others assembling theirs. If you find a scrap merchant that collects the old metal cases let me know. Got my Baotian 50cc scooter from Pitbike4all, nearly went for the 125 when I saw it, as it was only £100 more, but I didn't want to mess with the CBT, I know I will probably regret it later.

That's the spirit Rusty, keep on trucking!! Agreed. It might seem like repetition, having two sites with similar information, but one site acts as a back up for the other if anything goes wrong. A website can have the advantage of being more structured than a forum, making information easier to find, but a forum has the advantage of being more interactive. They work well together, so keep up the good work Rusty. I know how much work a website takes to set up, and keep up to date, but once set up, they are easy to back up, and the information can easily be transferred, this is a lot harder with forums.

As this forum is free it has no back-up, if all gets lost it remains lost forever. On the bright side I'm sure Pro Boards has some good back-up stuff just incase their server crashes.
