???Hi, Can anybody help with this prob. As i have said previous I got this chunlan off ebay, in all sense it is as new 515miles on clock.Went to try and register it,say i need a SVA certificate, thats no prob, BUT they will not accept cert of conformity,s date of manufacture.I must get date of manufacture.I,ve sent emails to Chunlan,Starways ect cant find original supplier ect. All i have got is hologram pic with chassis & engine no.date 12/2001. dealers check list dated checked 08/04/2003 headed Starway motorcycles with a name John Hardcastle. Have surfed net for hours no joy. Anybody got an answer. Thanks

Are you friendly with your local police? There's a copper who goes on a local message board and he told me that my Taishan was built in 2002 even though I bought it in 2005. They can punch all your VIN into their Bat Computer and process the info.

Hi, would this work as scooter is as yet un-registered. I have a chunlan document with date of manufacture, but vosa wont accept it, Dvla Shrewsbury gave me a large booklet with in there words .......all owners clubs in UK............yes if you have a 20 odddyear classic try them for info. A joke i thinkGot to get a letter of some one at importers or maker. Thanks for info..

Hi, would this work as scooter is as yet un-registered Yes it'll work as my Taishan was unregistered. Using the VIN they can tell the manufacturer and when it was built. There's probably some more secret stuff as well.
