With fully comp. insurance, and a low excess, I'm not giving the insurance company any get out clauses if I ever need their services. I only use it for local trips, so 30mph is enough, especially with the amount of speed traps around here. I did try disconnecting the pink wire, and it gave the usual 5 mph speed increase on the flat, with a much smoother ride, but I reconnected it as I saw the potential for getting caught speeding, especially going downhill. If I was younger, I would probably be fully derestricted by now though.

Off topic, but it doesnt deserve its own thread. I have a dilema. I want one of these http://www.europainternational.co.uk/images/sprint%20red%20max%20side2.JPG "] Or if the picture doesnt show, here is the link cgi.ebay.co.uk/X-Stream-Sprint-MAX-50cc-Scooter-Red-12-Alloys_W0QQitemZ4587848695QQcategoryZ9939QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemBut i keep finding myself looking for a honda c50 (1960's-70s one) because they are old skool, easy to ride, 3 speed with no clutch and are not restricted and have a banging noise with the big chrome exhaust (they have about 4.5 bhp). They are loads of fun, but i dont think that pratical for everyday cold start use with their kick starts? Opinions please....

(different mirrors & body panels) I love riding it , is a lot of fun. Electric start is worthless in cold weather (Below 45 degrees F) The little tiny battery can't stand up to the cold. I have to kick start in the morning (which works fine). By the time I am ready to ride home for lunch (scoot sits in morning sun) The battery is back up & ready for an electric start. Price seems a little high to me, Maybe things are different across the pond. I would look around some more on Ebay. I paid $610 (US) for mine (new). I got 92 Miles per gallon on my last tank which sure beats the 17mpg I get on my Jeep! (which is why I bought the scoot) I have no complaints about my scoot & recomend one to anyone.
Looking on ebay, its about average because people sell them cheaper, but they dont include reg, tax etc. Also that had the spoiler, and the nice wheels . I think that is one of the best looking one to be honnest, and the one i would most consider. But i have notice that a place in nottingham has got the 2006 generation which has a 2 tonne paint scheme and alarm + remote engine start decisions, decisions.....also some companys are doing them with derestrict for free or a small fee (under 30 quid) but they cost more and have the normal really small wheels!
