HAS ANYBODY GOT AN IDEA HOW CAN I MAKE THIS GO FASTER THAN WALKING PACE.?? You need to de-restrict it and then you'll be able to reach the dizzying heights of 45 mph!! ;D I've got a copy of TAG magazine which shows you how to do it, not on a Baotian but I guess the basics are the same. Shall I scan the feature and post it up here for you?

I was so shocked I'm going to insert a "shocked" smiley here --> If you're scooter is de-restricted try flooring it (I guess the scooter equivalent is twisting it???) just before you reach the hill and then you've got a higher speed to slow down from - if you get my strange sense of logic? Other than that all you can do is lose some weight. ;D I'm 15 stone (6 feet tall though) so my ped crawls up hills at a rather embarrassing 20 mph.

I know what your saying Rusty,i do go flat out up to hills i just what to know really if it was the norm for these scooters to crawl up hill, i have already tried to address the weight issue but as i work in a chocolate factory this is somewhat of a problem.

I've got no excuse, I'm just a fat greedy pig!! ;D I bet if I weighed around 10 stone instead of 15 my little scooter would fly about the streets of Great Yarmouth. can you chuck the de-restricting article online somewhere so i can have a look. Be interesting to see how easy/hard it is. Here ya go chap: Page OnePage TwoPage ThreePage FourPage FiveFound this on another forum which sounds a bit easier: There is a little brass screw at the inside of the circular lid at top of the carburator. Take that away! Than you shall lower the trottle to a position next to the bottom. The trottle is situated under the lid!Does he mean "throttle" and not "trottle"?

I imagine there's a bigger problem as I'm a 15 stone pig too and my ped easily gets to 30mph. Have you tried changing the air filter? If that's clogged up with dirt it'll reduce performance a hell of a lot.
