Hello, everyone. I've been playing with my new toy and would like all the tips you have on speeding up my scoot. First thing i did was take off the oem airbox which contains too many bends and replaced it with a car K&N PCV Cotton Breather filter, looks nice and shiney and has a little more noise which i lik so i know when the engine is straining and also i like to think "if they can hear me theyre more likely to see me" Today i found a restriction on the inner-side of the carb top hat which stopped the piston from opening fully. now i can get full throttle. which i deinatly needed. My needle was already set to the richest position. However, i'm concerned i'm running to lean while at full throttle because she revs to 6700rpm from stationary but gets flat quickly if i stay at WOT, so i back off and she pulls better. anyone else have the same bike?? Is my engine a Honda/ Suzuki copy? Thanx - John

Yes, you can use performance parts, but along with de-restricting, you will be 'our performing, your licence entitlement and insurance. You can probably convert the head/pistom/barrel to a 125, you will be noticed speed wise, from 28mph to 60, dont say you wont use it, and see note above. Most of these bikes have the same frame for 50 or 125cc, you will need the cdi, and carb. to go with it. Again see my first comment, put some money aside for fines and bus fares!

Why did you not buy a 125 and pimp that up then?

Honda & lots of other makes of engines, inc. Perkins, Cat, etc are now made in China, I was staggered when I looked into it, even Piaggio have the Zip made ror them out there. They will one day take over the World............................................

ok, just to add to the knowledge base, so far ive found a brass screw in the carb top hat that was restricting the piston travel, i've changed the airfilter to a no bends design and caused the engine to run lean, i've compensated temporarily by putting washers under the carb needle to raise the needle even further than the last setting. I really need to find somebody that sells carb jets locally to Harrogate. She's doing 20mph up steep hills 30-35 on flat and 45-48 on the steep downhills. The pink wire derestriction maybe doesnt apply to my Sukida because i'm having no trouble with high speeds downhill. Also, my wiring diagram states the only Pink wire is on the magneto, there are non on the CDI.

Ok changed the main jet 2day to a 98 from the oem 72...Perfect! I say Perfect because i can still run her too lean by adjusting the needle height or too rich with my 2 washers under the needle mod. brill, she runs straight to redline no probs now on the flat, obviously still slow up hill but thats expected and funny.
