I was wondering if anyone knew if i went to my local DVLA office in person. If they'd be able to register and give me a plate number/tax etc. there and then. I made a mistake on one of the forms when i sent it off So i want to get my scoot taxed, registered and plated as soon as possibly obviously! Any help would be really appreciated for people who were in the same situation! or if not any help at all !

No they won't do it there and then.
If everything goes fine and they accept your application, it takes around 3 days for them to send you your tax disc and reg number through the post. Then you have to get a number plate made at your local Auto parts store (Halfords etc)

I was really lucky when I went to the VRO in Edinburgh to register mine. While I was waiting in a queue of about 10 , the office manager came round checking peoples docs and while checking mine he told me that it would take 48 hours.I was pretty chuffed there was'nt any nonsense like other people had experienced. It took about 1/2 an hour to get to the desk,I handed over my docs, the chap said he was going to lunch after dealing with me,disappeared for 5 minutes or so,returned asking for payment, checked my cash and handed me my docs including the certificate with my new registration number allowing me to buy a no.plate........yeehaa i was on the road within an hour.......sorry to say, going by other peoples experiences, you might not be quite so lucky....good luck anyway.........
