I removed the exhaust cleaning valve completely. The valve is discussed in this thread: taishanowners.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=garage&action=display&thread=1130158585The valve is a piece of nuts construction. If you open it, you will notice what I mean. The construction of the valve is so poor that it will blow exhausts into the air box after just a few miles of usage. Also the way it is mounted into the exhaust pipe, makes it block the exhausts. The valve also makes noise. It sounds like a whistle. Atleast mine did. Less noise and moother running engine, especially on idle is what I noticed after the change. Haven't noticed any differences in speed. But in theory there should be a slight increase in speed since there is not as much blocking of the exhausts. I have the sport model. The velve construction seems to be a little better on the sport than the classic. The thing blocks more of the exhausts on the classic than the sport. Here's some pictures that I took after I cut and drilled the damn thing off: img521.imageshack.us/img521/5490/putki10qx.jpg img521.imageshack.us/img521/2259/putki24dw.jpg img521.imageshack.us/img521/4589/putki31wt.jpg

It is quite self explanatory. 1. Cut the crap out. 2. Throw it in the trash bin. 3. Make the hole disappear.
The rest of the guide is about changing the main jet, changing roller weights...

I'm quite lucky because my exhaust doesn't have that weird thing Although i did see some part removed from the air filter housing Is that a restriction then?

Although i did see some part removed from the air filter housing Is that a restriction then? That thing restricts the air coming into the carb. The fuel mixture will usually get too thin if you remove that thing without getting a bigger main jet. Some models run better with the original main jet and without the restrictor in the box. Mine did. This is uncommon though.
