I had a Capri once, that would not run on any shell petrol. Used to gum up the carb. I've never used shell since!!

I heard Texaco petrol is prone to being dirty, i.e. had sand in it and other stuff. My mates, mums car fuel tank had to be completeley drained because it had sand in it from a Texaco station. Seems to me the only decent place to get petrol is Morrisons

Today I let my tank get pretty empty and then filled up with Shell Optimax - I'm sure I can feel an improvement but I bet it's all in my head. You never know though..... #afro#

Texaco have been bought out by Sommerfield, so a lot of Texaco stations a going to close. I will be filling up in the next couple of days, so I think I will give the super unleaded a go.

just remember though that you wont recieve full benefits till all the normal unleaded petrol has gone so its best doing it till youre on your last drop, thats what i did and i really noticed the difference!

My fuel gauge was reading well into the red this morning so went and filled up, also filled the petrol can. I used Super Unleaded and it cost me £9.62! that will get me to work and back for almost 4 weeks.
I went for a bit of a ride on the way home from the petrol station, and I must say I did notice a difference. It does seem to have that little bit more power. #emot114# However, like Phil said, It could be just the placebo effect!

Its nearly impossible to gain any performance increase by using super unleaded in these Chinese scooter engines. Its all in your minds

I didnt say for a scooter though i just said what was said on the advert. Anyway my baby is clean, i just use that 0-60 stuff i mentioned ina thread a while ago. I gave it my mate and he noticed it was a bit quicker on acceleration. I also used it in my grans car (old rusty tin bucket kinda car) and after a while it went quicker to. So i plan to keep using both the fuel and 0-60 to keep it clean as a whistle

I might try some of that 0-60 stuff later on, as the bike is only 2 months old I think just using Optimax every few fill-ups will keep it relatively clean.
