I had previously found the manuals Rusty, but could not find the itemised parts list, with part numbers, unless they are under a different section. I have now sent an email to China, (reproduced below), to see if any spares network is in the pipeline for the UK <Quote> Hello all at Asia-Motors.com The Baotian type scooters are now selling well in the UK. I have just bought one, and it seems like good value for the money, but there is concern here in the UK about buying spare parts, like drive belts, brake pads, and exhausts etc. This is causing people to doubt if these scooters are going to be serviceable in the future, and it is putting some people off of purchasing them. If the sales of these scooters are to continue to grow, the issues of readily available spare parts needs to be addressed, and quickly, as some serviceable parts on these scooters are now needing to be replaced, and it is nearly impossible to find replacement parts at reasonable prices at the moment. What is needed is a spares distribution depot in the UK, with a price list, and spare parts list available to Baotian owners, with spares being sold at reasonable prices, and not such prices as one third of the price of a new scooter just for an exhaust system. Could you please advise if any plans are in place to provide a spares distribution system in the UK, or if one already exists. </Quote>

Best of luck getting a response from China. I emailed Sinski time after time and got no response.
The manual is the second item under the Baotian Section.

BT50 Parts Manual PDF Ye of little faith Received the following email at 04:04 this morning <Quote> Dear Gavin: I had received your inquiry for spare parts, at this moment we did not have spare distribution, if you need some small parts, I think I can offer you the information of my customer, maybe you can contact to him, to see wheather my customer have that kind of spare parts. Best regards leslie </Quote> If anyone is looking for a particular part, and wants the personal email address of Leslie at Baotian, send me a personal mail and I will supply it. I do not want to post the address here directly, as it could be subject to abuse, then serious spare part enquiries might not get acted upon.

Well done Gavin, I'm quite surprised someone replied. You have to give them some flattery first, then as soon as he starts dancing, they will promise you anything just to stop him

I hear what you're saying, I bet if you emailed them to slag them off you'd still be waiting for a reply.

I recently had my Boatian BT50 stolen, finally got the scooter back but the theiving little ******** tried to hot wire it and cut the wires and made a right mess.Managed to sort most the wires out and got the scooter started but the only thing i can't sort out is the indicators.I have got three wires left to got to what i assume is the flasher/buzzer unit.Tried wireing it up but no joy, only stayed on all the time,no flash, has onyone got any ideas,am i missing a relay or something.

The flasher unit sounds as if it's blown. Most probably shorted out when they tried to hot wire it. The service manual, available in the 'Hints & Tips' section, tells you how to test the flasher unit.
