About to replace the drive belt on my son`s Taishan Commuter. Coming from Norfolk I tried to ring several different suppliers for prices, the Dealers listed on the Taishan website for The Midlands and East Anglia is not worth the printing paper as Boston is now a private telephone number, Cambridge goes onto voice mail, Norwich and Peterborough both came up number un-obtainable and Newark no longer trade Taishan and say to ring Bike Mart Direct at Lincoln. When I did they quoted £38 but they are on back order until next week. Going back to Gavin`s idea of noting the belt numbers I thought I would try some of the local factors, unfortunately none of them recognise Zhuping VS Belt F4/12. 669 18 30. 669 seems to be the length in mm and 18 the width in mm ( as confirmed in the downloaded manual ) but nobody understands the 30. A HUGE THANKYOU AT THIS POINT MUST GO TO GRAHAM1 without his help I would still be scratching my head. As the belt had broken I had no idea where it fitted after consulting manuals. He very kindly removed his sons crankcase cover to look and find out. Hope this information helps someone?

Im not from Norfolk I used to live in Friday Bridge, a hole just near Wisbech, which is a bigger hole. I moved up from Hants and house hunted around Beccles, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, but settled in the cheapest part ;D Still I used to shop in Kings Lynn and watch the occasional footie match. Esp the Farnborough FA cup game. Norfolk is nice, but north Cambs is awful.

Good deductions to connect Mr.Linnet with Kings Lynn, its obviously football related!!!!, can`t beat non league football, where a majority of the players play because they enjoy playng and not for the money??? Thats all for the friendly welcome over the last few days.

Big non-league footie fan me That is until we get into the football league of course ;D I used to travel down to Aldershot every home game, from Wisbech (300 mile round trip) and never missed a league or major cup game. bloody expensive

Kings Lynn FC, one of non leagues sleeping giants apparently, been following them for years now. I`ll settle for a place in the conference, we`ve been threatening for the last 5/6 seasons to get there only to sack the manager half way during the season, go into administration, or fall at the final hurdle when we won the Eastern division 2 seasons ago then lost in the play off to Redditch in front of over 2500 people Still got my season ticket for this season again. Think we nearly signed one of your ex players last season, centre half, 36/37 years old, patched up and metal plates in bones but one of the best defenders in the league, cant remember his name though? All the best anyway for the forth coming season, unless we meet in the FA Cup or FA Trophy!

Ray Warburton. Thats him, he applied for the Managers job at Lynn, unfortunately they decided against him and went for Robert Taylor ( ex Man City and Wolves ) before changing him for Tommy Taylor ( Ex West Ham player and Orient, Camb.Utd, Darlington and Farnborough manager ).
What is he upto these days, does he still play for you? or has he retired?

Ray retired end of last season, didnt know he applied for lynn job though. Brilliant defender, shame hes carrying so many injuries now, and hes no spring chicken. I believe he has given up playing all together. Tommy was very popular down the road at Farnborough, theyve gone from conference mid tablers to conf south now. (oh dear)

We got thumped 0-2 by Tamworth on saturday. we had an awful pre-season, and fielded 8 strangers with loads of first teamers out injured/suspended.

There was always great dis-like of Tamworth whenever we played them until Gary Mills (another ex Lynn boss)got them promoted. I still think the dis-like continues and it always seems pleasing when other teams beat them, pity you couldn`t oblige We play our first home game tomorrow ( Tues ) against Rugby, we`ve got a few new players as well, so keeping fingers crossed we won`t suffer the same result as you, although we managed a win at Gloucester on Saturday.
