Thanks for doing this, it's good to see owners helping out other owners. How do you find the 2 stroke engine? I think all the Taishan & Baotian 50cc's have a 4 stroke engine and a lot of people on another scooter forum I go on reckon a 4 stroke has slow acceleration but I've got nothing to compare it to. To me the acceleration seems fine, going up hills is a problem though. ;D

2-Stroke gets to about 25 really quickly. All sort of goes to pot after that. Unless you have a gale force wind behind you that is This is my first ever ped so i don't really have much to compare it to.

My ped is still restricted so after it's got to 25mph there's not much more it can do. ;D I had a quick look at the pics of your scooter by finding the Properties of you avatar etc (I'm a master hacker!!) and it's surprising how many of these Chinese scooters all look the same - your Sinski is near-enough identical to my Taishan Commuter which is near-enough the same as a dozen other scoots from the Far East. Just been having a look on eBay and there's a red Sinski for sale currently at £300 I think. EDIT: And as if by magic... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9939&item=4558953838&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I bought mine from eBay for £371, I placed my bid in the closing seconds of the auction never thinking it would sell for as little as £371 but low & behold I got it. After paying I did some research on Taishans and everyone was slating them which got me worried, I read stories of them dying after 100 miles and so on. I've done over 200 miles in my first week on the road and I'm really happy with the bike which is why I set up this club.

Happy birthday for the 8th. I take it you are not secuced by the wares of Big Brother. Notice I didn't post any more last night? I admit it, I watch Big Brother!! Boo Saskia!! Isn't it true that all 50cc scooters pretty soon will have to be 4 stroke as they're better for the environment? If so, we're ahead of the game!! ;D

Yes. 30 soon :-( Hard old life aint it. Who's the lady beefjurky? Probably not a bad legislation about all 50cc scooters having to be 4-stroke. Mine has been known to chuck out one hell of a lot of fumes if the mood takes it.

the lady is Detective Calleigh Duquesne (csi miami, i know sad but i have a real thing for her at the minute, to the annoyants of the missus).
I know its a good thing to be making the enviroment better and air cleaner n' all that, but two strokes are a lot more fun than fours(even though mine is four) and shirley there are bigger engines that need to be sorted, like twenty year old ford transits that choke you every time they go passed.

I reckon most of these Chinese imports are mechanically identical. I've had a Jinlun 50 for about 6 months now. Its my site the manuals are on ....... [glow=red,2,300] www.davidstephen.me.uk[/glow] They do get better when the engine runs in. My Valve clearances were well out and the spark plug was rubbish. The 'ped now does about 40+ on the flat. Nearly hits 50 downhill and still dies uphill at about 25 max. I feel that confident in it that I'm taking it over to Holland to visit friends next week. I'll let you know how it goes. Looking at about 500 miles round trip so wish me luck....

I'm glad you came on here as I wanted to tell you I'd put a link to your site on here but you weren't registered on the my-taishan forum so I couldn't p.m you. Not to worry. Have you got any more handy hints for the non-mechanically minded? I read your other stuff but I can't tell a carb from a carp.
