You didn't suck up the oil and then blow it into the hole did you? ;D hahaha, no, the drain plug works just fine...

When i took the drain plug off of the engine oil a spring popped out which i was expecting but a little filter came out aswell. What order do they have to go back in?

I can't remember but doesn't the filter go in first and then the spring? Try it either way, one will work. ;D

Looking at the service manual, it goes filter first, then spring, then drain plug. It isn't that clear though!
Did anyone else get a Concertina style squeezy bottle with their bike? is this for filling the gear box with oil?

i got one and wondered what it was for, but that would make sense as it has a small enough nozzle for this job. jules

Hi - You very knidly supplied me with this link from my previous question on preloved. I have a question. When you say fill up with oil, do you mean via the outlet where the dipstick comes from? I can't find anywhere else to pour the oil into. Is this right?

Yes that's right, take out the dipstick and pour in the oil. On a Taishan there's a thin part of the dipstick and the oil should reach around half way up that.

Hi is there any Technique in getting off the drainage nut on the Boatian BTQ to change the engine oil i have been trying now for about half an hour and no matter how hard i pull or push i just can't seem to budge the Nut!!!! I suppose i will have to take it to a garage as i don't have any power tools why do they have to make the nuts so tight...I think i'm going nuts at the moment as i have now done over 1500 kms and am desperate to change the oil though the bike is running really well at the moment even got it to 50mph today, though i'm begining to suspect that if it's doing this that the engine will blow one of these days if i don't change the oil... Oh yes i have not made any changes to de restrict the bike
Regards
