Just got some new handlebar grips for my Honda Dylan. The ones that came with the bike were perfectly functional but hardly very exciting. I think the new ones add a touch of style ! Anyone interested can have a look at: www.argolis59.freeserve.co.uk/simons-scooters.htmThanks especially to the guys on this site who gave me fitting advice before I took the plunge.

Had the job done in about 30 minutes. The old ones came off quite easily with the help of a stanley knife. The new throttle one was a tight fit but a tiny drop of oil helped slide it on. Added a bit of glue to make sure they stay in place and that was job done !

Enjoyed reading your website! That bit about the CBT instructor joking about the Bajaj bike and how plastic it was ..hmmm. This is the kind of thing that'd put me off going to a CBT because you meet some guys who are so puritanical about it all. My sister went on a course quite recently for just bicycle riding, I never realised that she'd never ever ridden a bicycle when she was a kid. Anyway, the instructor she had spent ages just slating Chinese bikes and that there was no point buying one as they were all crap and unless you invest at least £350 in a proper British bicycle it wasn't worth it. She said he was glowing red with anger over it all. Hardly an encouragement for anyone to start cycling.

Glad you enjoyed reading the site. The banter at my CBT was all very good natured, I didn't feel persecuted or anything like that. Just give as good as you get that's my advice !!
When I turned up for my second CBT on the Dylan the instructor was actually quite interested as he was thinking of buying a couple for his training school. I avoided abuse that time as there was a 17 year old idiot on the course who had more driving endorsements on his licence than I would have thought possible in such a short space of time.
