we need more details. Does the lever work?? if so, then you need to kick it faster.

To be honest I don't put much confidence in these kick starters, the mechanism looks pretty poor. My scoots only done about 250Kms and I've only used the kick starter a few times and the pivot sleeve broke causing quite a bit of vibration as the spring etc had detached from where it should have been. I turned the pivot sleeve around so the broken bit was on the inside and refitted everything else but no longer have the confidence to use the kick starter. The pic below is similar to my scoot kick starter mechanism except my scoot has 2 pivot sleeves. it was the inside one that broke not the one on the cover.

Could be that some models and/or makes use cheap stuff for the kickstart parts. The manufacturer probably thinks that you are going to use the electric starter most of the time anyway, and the kick starter would be used only for when the battery goes down or dead. Mine seems to be made fairly good in that it still works fine, but I'd leave the kick starter for those times when I actually need it.

Apropos of nothing much, those parts look very similar to the kickstart mech on a Honda SH50 (postmans bike) OK so round here they are using Ludix's now, but I always think of the SH50 as a postmans bike. They were first class, geddit? Never mind.
