Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on for a while but I have been busy with work/college/girlfriend etc. I am starting full bike test lessons soon and will be moving on to faster things i.e (Suzuki GSXR 400) and will have to get rid of me scoot. It won't be for a while yet but I will probably be breaking the bike up for spares. All parts will be available although there are some scrathes on panels. I will put a post up nearer the time. I would keep my scoot if I could afford it but how can I resist a 140mph bike at 17! Is anyone else thinking of moving up?

I am going to get a 150cc scooter come Spring. I am moving soon. I will be 22 miles from work, instead of the 3 mile trip I have now.

A 140mph bike at 17. Disgusting, that should not be allowed. I know that of course like every other 17yr old you know everything and have all the experience you need. So you can't see why you shouldn't be allowed to ride one. Enjoy it, but don't be a bloody fool. I know I'm just a 'grumpy old man'. But how many dead or maimed young bikers have you seen in your short life. Not as many as me. Just be careful PLEASE. Al passes soapbox to next speaker.

Sorry mate I wasn't posting so you could judge me. I was just saying I have a passion for biking and am moving up in the biking world. I was simply saying I am getting a faster bike. I'm not going to ride at 140mph everywhere am I? And as with all 17yr olds I know I am invunerable and know everything, thanks for noticing

Well at least you took note of what I said, and sorry if it sounded like I was judging you. But believe it or not, I was 17 once, and only have half my innards to prove it. And that was only from a smash on a Vespa, that if I remember couldn't do 40mph let alone 140 Bit jealous as well, not about the bike, about being 17

take note of what all the older guys are saying on here, its a bad world out there, i get tired of seeing bits of bikers (all thats left of them) come into A&E in plastic bags. I would have thought 125 was plenty fast enough

Im 17 and have got a honda CB125 i plan to take my motorcycle test but move up in smaller sized engines ie 125 250 etc the jump from a 50 to a 125 is pretty powerfull range. especially if all you have been riding is these chink scoots there not that powerfull. a freind off mine had a Derbi Senda 2 Stroke which could do 65mph but when he got his suzuki gs125 he was amazed at how much power the 4 stroke engine had.

Im 52, had so many bikes from 5cc Honda stepthroughs, 250-750 2strokes, to 1000v-twin, lost 4 good mates (dead) and several badly injured, me, so far got off scot free, it aint all skill though lots of it is LUCK! If that runs out theres diddly squat you can do about it! Bikes get me, the accelaration, the speed, the last minute braking and going and doing it again at even laster minute, I suppose its the dare factor. Only thing that stopped me was the running expence. I gave up big bikes 2 yrs ago for good, but I'm getting itchy palms again, and I'm looking at a nice Ducati.............. wonder how much luck I got left?

Is it just me who wants to hear how his love life is going rather than lecturing him on not acting like a 17 year old?

Julietdoll this is not the crush but another venture whom I love dearly. My crush was more infatuation than love.

Yep, seems you are the only one, Julietdol. As for the lecturing, just wanna so this guy doing what 17 yr olds do, still being around and able to do what 18 yr olds do.
