Finished my shift rotation lst night so when I got home I left the battery connected - this morning it fired up off the electric start without a problem, maybe it's sorted.
I also emailed the shop in Lancaster (Coastline Leisure) where I got the scoot as they've always had good advice too. They said:
"The problem could have been not turning the power off from the bike correctly. If you start the bike from the remote, you will notice your fuel needle go up. When you come to turn the bike off you have to use the remote, and make sure the power is off (indicated by your fuel needle going down)
If you don’t turn the bike off by the remote power is still on and therefore will drain the battery."
Now, I didn't know this so I'm willing to risk the high standing in which I know you all hold me just in the hope that this will help others - what a guy
No, I really didn't know!

Glad to hear you're sorted. M8 of mine bought a Keyway for his missus (never riden before), they started it on the remote, off she went along the lane, practicing, and stalled the damn thing. He had the key & remote at home she didn't know how to kick start. Didn't have her mobile so had to push it home. Which goes to show that the fancy gizmos are not always the way to go. Personally can't understand why manufactures would put a remote start on a scoot, or am I just old skool.

It's hard to find your bike in amongst the thousands of others. If you can start it remotely it gives you a clue as to which one is yours. And it's cooooooool

Ahhhhhhhhh! Hadn't thought of that aspect. There are few extras that manufacturers could start fitting. I could do with a cigarette lighter and ash-tray (€600 fine for tossing a lighted giggy over here). Built in Mp3 player would be good. But the best extra would be side blades or lasers for the pillocks that get too close.

Get a battery tender! Hook it up to the battery so that you can connect it everytime you park it. It will keep the battery charged overnight so in the morning it'l start the scoot.
