Im also curious about the build quality and the quility of the parts, im thinking about a kinroad also (is it just another name for boatian?) only this one is a chopper, manual gear. I dont mind some maintenance, but not if its too fast too much, if i buy a new one its not so strange to think it will last for at least a year without problems ?

yep build quality seems to be ok, although I had a few teething probs with my one. Friday build I think. Hm....wonder if the little Chinese peeps finish on a Friday.

wonder if the little Chinese peeps finish on a Friday. Doubt it. They are probably locked into the factory, living in there.

Been to China and most workers work 10 hours/day 6 days/wk and make 40 to 60 USD (equivalent) per month. As far as Ebay scoots go, be VERY careful who you deal with. Cause in effect you have no warranty with those fly-by-night Ebay dealers. I bought my qianjiang RX150 from one and it came with a bent rear rim. Sent it back for warranty replacement in August of '04 and am still waiting for the replacement (bought another rim from a dealer in Ohio).

My dealer was OK. Scooter Central in Westcliff on Sea, Essex. They are a proper scooter shop 1st and only use eBay to sell more scooters. www.scootercentral.co.uk

A wee bit pricey, you can buy 2 off ebay for that and use the other for spares. ;D
