Baotain scooters are cheap end scooters which ever dealer you get it from you need to spend alot of time learning to keep them up and running for every day use
The cheapest is not allways the best = should have got a honda

"however my 52 years experience on the planet can tell you that the cheapest is not always the best option"
what i ment was why buy a baotain if you think the above
and not a honda lead or dylan as they are better made and can be taken to any bike shop to be fixed and serviced
baotains are cheap end scooters so why pay more for one

Macro you must keep things in context mate. Apart from a faulty battery replaced under warranty no prob, mine starts first time and gives me no bother and hums along happily at 45+ (bit like me really). Of course time will tell but start off on the right footing and one is halfway there.

As with spaceprobe my Sukida 125 T3 (Exactly the same as Baotian T9) has had the battery replaced, but in just coming up to 3000k (1860mls) its not missed a beat. It does round trips of 60mls+ regularly, it can & does hit 65,mph, but cruises at 50-55 no probs. Whether its Sukida, Baotian or Honda its no secret that you have to look after these small bikes with regular oil changes and general maintenance, but the biggest advantage is having a good, helpfull dealer, and from what I've seen and heard Baotian UK or BTS have the test with flying colours.

Sorry, spaceprobe, thought you meant Dean Clements was at TIBS and I should still consider them. Got the wrong end of the stick!
Just looking at the Baotian UK catalogue now and saw Dean Clements name on the letter. ;D

Dingo TIBS do seem to be one of the better dealers but there are a few neg posts on the forum about them. You need to have a good read through all the posts you learn a lot that way, thats what i did before I brought and why I decided on Boatian UK

Here look
baotain uk BIKE: qt9n = £695.00
i'm thinking the N means it has speedy written on side
Ebay.co.uk item:150016894569 BIKE:qt9 = £399.99
warehouse-robot (13916 Feedback score is 10,000 to 24,999) Member is a PowerSeller
so which is better
695.00 - 399.99 =£296.00
you can allmost get two bikes

Macrofeet, the difference is less than that. - The Baotian UK one includes £63 worth of stuff to put it on the road. - Their bikes are fully assembled and tested at that price. - If you want it delivered TIBS charge £35 more. - The TIBS bike doesn't come with a back box (small detail maybe) and possibly other extras.
So, the price difference is about £150 at the most
The other thing I don't understand about TIBS is their policy on collection, On their ebay sales they state they don't want too many personal callers and levy a £25 collection charge, yet on their web page they welcome visitors?? Sounds a bit underhand to justify the £25 collection charge.

C I'm only guessing at other extras, as I say, but TIBS don't have the back stowage box pictured with their models nor do they list it as inclusive. It's not exactly a deal breaker but still worth considering.
