Well I had a 10 mile run out on the Gilera Runner today and it was a nice run out overall but I have decided that me and the Gilera just don't get on too well. The biggest factors for me are probably that I much prefer riding a newer bike, and I'm not a fan of the loudness and power delivery of 2-stroke.... it just ain't for me ! Here's the item on eBay, in case you know anyone who would be interested: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270003873109.....and I'm looking for a 4-stroke scoots to replace the Gilera with !

The insurance was very reasonable for me ..... I have no previous bike experiance, no bike 'No Claims Bonus' and I have Diabetes ...... and it was £182 per year.
But I am 33 so that probably went in my favour.
Ally - yeah, I enjoy riding the BT50 more than the Gilera so something must be wrong LOL !
Nah, it's more about me much preferring 4 stroke to 2 stroke to be honest, plus the Gilera has smaller wheels for the size of the scoot (it's quite a deceptively big scoot), compared to most scoots of the size ..... basically it's a bit too sporty for my first 125 !

I think you're mad, 6 months time you'll be kickin yourself........ My JL50 is my first scooter I rode my mates Kymco Cobra 100 2 stroke a couple of years ago and nearly s4at ma breeks... if it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't carry a passenger and would have to have L plates I thnk I'd be very tempted .............. You should make it pre-approved bidders only, you might get less bids but at least they will be genuine.

Ah - that's a pretty good idea f1mad, I've never tried that ..... I'll have a look now and see if I can set that up.
Cheers for that,
Dave.

My eBay account just got hacked by fraudsters and eBay have therefore suspended the account and the listing for my protection.
It just ain't worth bothering with eBay these days (I'm not blaming them), there is just too much scum on the surface of this world.
I'm just about to give the Gilera to a neighbour for £200 such is my level of f***ed-off-ness.

The way I'm feeling at the moment, for a quick sale and quick pick up, I'd let someone on this or the Pug Club forum have it for £450 absolute minimum ..... this is not a £450 scooter by any means but selling something of this nature has proved a total nightmare from a scummy timewaster point of view, so I'd just be happy when it's all over !
If anyone is seriously intererested - but it must be quick deal for that giveaway price - give me a shout !

Jay - It has full MOT (done 2 weeks ago) and full years tax.... Tyres are spot on, everything about the bike is spot on and it's a great colour. It has guaranteed no leaks.
I had 8 photos of it on the eBay listing but as I say it's been removed so the link on this thread is now dead.
I'm working til 9pm tonight but could get some pics when I get home.
Everyone on the Pug Forum that saw it said I was mad for selling it for £550 and that in that condition and with the full MOT, Full Tax, Original red key + spare, etc, that I could get £700 for it.
I'm sure other on here that saw it on the link earlier will verify the exterior condition of it.
Dave.

Thanks Andy & Lips, Now that my eBay account is closed, here are some off-line pics of the Runner - Full MOT, 12 Months Tax, V5, Original Keys (including the red), No leaks, Perfect runner, slight fault to main stand (does not affect operation of bike or stand), Two small scratches on each wing (you can see one in the above picture). Must be collected from Easington Village, A19 (80 minutes north of York, 15 minutes south of Newcastle). £500 no offers. Would swap for Jap (or similar) 4-stroke 125cc scooter with long MOT and Tax. Spread the word and help me buy a new Chinese Scooter !
