I should ride it as it is, it will probably get better or fail completely.
Don't know who you got it from, but after sales service for bikes bought from most ebay sellers is notoriously poor.
You'll soon have a list of faults, most of which are easily fixed & on this forum somewhere. As far as I am aware the speedo sticking is not a common one, so let us know if you fix it!

Its probably the inner cable of the speedo drive. Take it out and you will probably find it fraid or broken, get on to your supply for a replacement if its still under warranty.

Oh dear.........TIBS!!! They will probably want you to take your 1 out and send it back to them before they will send you a replacement. Best to phone them and argue your case you need the bike on the road, and email them a picture of your stuck needle showing some mph at a standstill. Make sure they know EXACTLY what bike its for or they are more than lokley to send the wrong one out! In fairness, they have sent replacement parts for warranty (battery, belt) quickly, by post, but if it comes by their courier gawd help you!

I have noticed, a lot of scoots on ebay have problems with speedo cables. I personally believe that this is because right from the day they are manufactured they do not use any form of lubrication in them. Basically its the inner cable that fails. this is because it revolves inside an outer casing. As it spins it generates heat internally which can dry out any form of lubrication. I take mine off now and then and dip a small screwdriver into any form of oil, I then allow the oil to get into the head, thats the top part of the cable and give the internal cable bit of a spin to let the oil penetrate down the length of the cable. all moving parts need some form of lubrication otherwise its going to fail eventually. Hope it helps someone..
