Hi there
My son has today had his scooter rammed by a taxi driver (no damage to my son), and although the damage doesn't look too bad, it won't start and is currently still near where the accident occured.
My problem is that having rung about 4 local garages to get it collected and looked at, I am repeatedly being told "we don't touch chinese crap" and other lovely phrases
Does anyone know of a leicester repair shop who will look at this and assess the damage for me please.
Neither of us have a clue about mechanics to try and figure it out ourselves at this point, the whilst the driver left his phone number he seems keen to avoid insurance claims and my sons insurance is 3PFT only
Any ideas, any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Duggster

Wether or not the other driver is keen to avoid insurance claim is neither here nor there, if your son is innocent of blame then give him the ultimatem SOOn to agree to pay for the damage, or persue, if needbe with the aid of the Police and any witness's. Has he got insurance? Even though your son has tpft only, you may have legal cover built in that you did not ask for, but they have a habit of including in the policy and charging you for, so look into that too. As for assessment, look in Yellow pages, there is bound to be some-one who will look at it for you in such a big City. Also you could go the your insurance COMPANY, not broker, and ask if thet could tell you thier assessor's for the area. Knowing liecester like I do, get that bike moved ASAP before you have a theft claim too. I wish you luck.
