My Baotion BT125 T9 STILL wont start.(no spark from the spark plug) checked the battery, spark plug, side stand and replaced the CDI unit. There is still no power coming from the connectors to the HT lead. Does anyone have any other ideas. Bought it from the Internet Bike Shop but finding it really difficult to get any technical help from them!

Any information on how to do that and where do i locate the coil?. I eventually spoke to the internet bike shop and they said it could be a faulty starter plate. I would appreciate any help or instructions

hey
me again
doesnt make sense for it not to be the CDI, the coil was getting a very very small feed (0.03V), so no loose connections and i checked everythign from the spark to the Starter motor, its all engaging and turning over but the spark is nowhere to be seen,

The starter plate is more then likly the raised plate on the flywheel which makes contact with the pulse/pickup coil
if this is rusty or not the right height then you get problems its simular to a rota arm in a car
i had the problem of no spark with a 125 and i spent along time trying to get it working in the end after much time money and effort i gave up

I had exactly the same problem as you, and exactly the same response from the people I purchased it from, very helpful when taking my money when purchasing, very crap when it comes to advice/back up etc. However, my problem turned out to be the connector blocks that plug into the cdi unit, if you have the same problem then purchasing a new cdi unit would make no difference. What I did was to close the gaps on the metal connectors inside the white plugs using a very small jewellers screwdriver, plugged it back in and bingo instant start and it has been going strong ever since ( and that was about 500 miles ago) Hopes this helps you Regards

usually if there is no spark on a new bike it means there is a loose connection on one the block connectors under the front pannel

Have just fitted a new flywheel and guess what??? yep it still wont spark. I tried closing the gaps but it hasn't made any difference. I will check the connectors under the front panel next. If anyone else has any other ideas please let me know
