Just fitted a Halogen headlight bulb, easily available, for Vespa's etc or from car shops for VW Campers etc. Its not H4 0r H7, but a bayonet fitting so take your old one out and check first before you buy. Also fitted a 24 segment dual filament red led rear bulb. This will virtually never need replacing, and there are no filaments to blow, but if any of the LEDs go then the others still work, extra safety. They also use far less power, so if like me you keep your lights on all the time it will conserve your battery too. Had thought about changing the indicators too, but as they have so little Resistance the lights would flash too fast, if at all, without in-line resisters being fitted to every bulb line, or so I have been told. That would cost about £40 so its not worth it.

The code is 1157/12v The Headlight bulb was Ebay, car parts, bulbs, autocamperlifestyle, halogen bulbs VW Vespa etc. The code is 395H 12v35/35w BA20d HAL Tl212AH3 £5.99 post free. headlamp: http;//cqi.ebaqy.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.ddl?ViewItem&item=140007565362
tail: Cant find page with link on, but my paypal reciept has an email address: imtoocheap@yahoo.co.uk so go direct. Your bulb you found was nearly right, exept you need a red one, it works better with a red lens. See how you get on. Sorry I was a bit long getting back, been out fishing! These things have to be done.

Thanks enu hope you had a good day fishing. Have orded the headlamp if one orders the tail lamp in Red does that not cause problems for the numberplate light. On mine the bottome of the rear light lens is clear in order to light up the number plate. I did not undersatnd your last post by the way. Rob

Yes, that will give you the page I used for my purchase. When I ordered my red rear I never thought of the clear no.plate lens, so I checked it last night and it still iluminates o.k. Both new lights work together o.k., no conflicts.
