I got my scoot yesterday and its brilliant but i wanna take the rear rack off. Is it connected to anything like the indicators mountings. I was considering just taking the box off but I reckon the rack would still look a bit unsightly. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

What kind of scoot?
On my Sinski, its one large hex-headed screw to a hole ijust above the break light, and two nuts under the seat (which need to be put back to hold the seat down) that held the whole unit in place. It was all accessable without disassembling the scoot.
I hope that helps some, although i'd be suprised if it didn't vary wildly depending on the scoot.

That top box comes in very handy, think carefully before you jump

Especially with the Sinski's. Very small under seat storage. I have just the rack on mine and it looks fine. However mine seems to have a slightly nicer rear rack. Another one i saw had this horrible wire thingy.

Agreed - i use my top box for storing just about everything, and use the underseat for overflow, since it tends to bet a bit warm in there while riding (i do a lot of stop-and-go city driving).
The underseat storage stays suprisingly cool, though, when parked, even in the sun, which makes putting on my helmet enjoyable on a hot day ;D

On the old 2-strokes you can't fit a helmet in the under seat compartment. Mind you on the qt-9 i can only just get my helmet inside *excuse the pun*

I love my top box! Doesn't do anything for the scooters looks, but man is it handy! I use it alot for picking up a few things on the way home from work. I can fit a jug of milk in my top box & a loaf of bread & some bananas under my seat.
