Hi If you got your bike from coastline the only restriction is the brass screw in the carb cover. If you check the connections on the cdi you should see that the cdi has no pin for the pink wire which is ty-rapped to the wiring loom below the foot-board. There should be no washer in the variator you can check this visually, if there is no joint on the boss/shaft ie the shaft appears to go into the variator pulley without joint. My Q-11 would not run/rev properly with the c clip on the needle middle slot (too rich) it was on the second notch which appears to give the best performance (tried all pos). Coastline had also fitted a ngk plug. Mine will reach 35 to 40 on the flat and 45+ on a slight downhill and no less than 25 on hills. I have fitted a 88 jet with gives slight improvement and rollers with a total weight of 33 grams. You should allow a few hundred Kms for things to free up.

Hi, There should be no restriction slip ringg thats the washer/spacer that I was on about. The only other restriction I have found is in the air filter but removing it makes the mixture to week even with the larger jet.

Hi, I would check that the Ht lead is screwed in the plug cap securly. then go for a run a couple of miles then stop the engine without letting it idle for long, then remove the spark plug and see what colour it is. It should be a tan colour- black would indicate rich and very light a weak mixture. Make sure the engine has warmed up properly ie the choke has had time to shut off. and that the idle air screw has been set . How many KMS have you done?
